For October 2007:
October 19th (Friday) at 7:00pm: The 7th Annual Bartlett Lectures. The Sinking of the Karluk and Bartlett's amazing trek to rescue the crew is one of the most heroic stories of arctic adventure in the 20th century. Celebrated author Jennifer Niven will discuss the writing of The Ice Master, relate how she found and purchased artifacts from the expedition on e-Bay and share her won journey to Wrangel Island.
Admission $2 each at the door.

July 29th (Sunday) at 8:00pm: Jim Payne and Fergus O'Byrnewill perform. Two of Newfoundland's most respected performers combine their passion for traditional music and song, as well as their instrumental prowess and humorous repartee, to cover a broad spectrum of Newfoundland folk culture,including songs, stories and dance tunes. Their repertoire includes rousing sea shanties and work songs, poignant ballads, comic ditties, folk tales and recitations, and toe-tapping jigs, reels and polkas on a variety of instruments.
